Every year on January 26, we celebrate Republic Day with flag hoisting, a vibrant procession, and cultural programs involving children and youth. The event honors the Indian Constitution and promotes patriotism. Volunteers from villages like Balipara actively participate, making it a day of unity, learning, and pride for the entire community.
On August 15, Independence Day is celebrated to honor our freedom fighters. The event includes flag hoisting, processions, and patriotic plays by local children and villagers. It reminds everyone of the sacrifices made for our independence and encourages youth to appreciate and protect the values of freedom and national unity.
International Women’s Day
Celebrated on March 8, International Women’s Day highlights the strength and rights of women and girls. Our program includes awareness talks, cultural performances, and group discussions to promote education, healthcare, and empowerment. It brings women together to inspire leadership and helps build a more inclusive, fair, and confident community.
Beauty Contest for Marginalized Women
Held annually on March 8, this beauty contest celebrates the confidence and dignity of rural women. Around 35–40 participants showcase their inner and outer beauty. The event promotes health, self-respect, and self-expression, allowing women to feel valued and empowered beyond their daily routines and social roles.
Anandamela
Every year on January 23, the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, we organize Anandamela. Children set up stalls selling handmade crafts and food. The fair fosters creativity, teamwork, and joy while attracting local families and visitors. It has become a beloved tradition, strengthening bonds within and across villages.
